This past weekend was absolutely crazy. I sold my products at a craft fair for the first time ever. I was going nuts days before the event using ever spare moment to craft more. Well before I knew it, the weekend was finally over and done with. God definitely answered my prayers because I was so anxious about every little detail.
Here are some of the good things came from this experience:
- It's helped me reach new heights
- It's grown my business
- It's brought more awareness to the cause (that's the most important reason I do this)
- I've experimented with supplies and came up with some great new products!
The first day of the fair was rather slow (for me) but the next day was so much better (even though I couldn't be there.) Thanks to my mom, I was able to sell on Saturday as well! Since I had to work, I didn't get to be there the entire time.
As far as my newest product goes, it was a big hit! People really liked the quill pens. In all my spare time behind the booth, I was able to keep making the pens and putting them out there. I didn't actually sell many but none the less; people liked them (especially children according to my mom.) My other new product was the wire wrapped feather necklaces. Wire wrapping was a completely new concept to me so I surprised at how great they turned out! Overall the most sold item was the flower clips with the feather embellishments. I guess I am going to have to make more of those!
Thanks for everyone's support! I could not have come this far without you guys by my side. Every prayer has helped! After Christmas is over, Freedom Feathers will have been open an entire year!
